Come Sit a While

Our small-lot, nonexistent Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, farmed by hand on a south-facing bench above the Willamette River. Three generations, one hillside.

Wine that tastes like this place

Marksplinter is a 34-acre estate vineyard tucked into the red Jory soils of the Dundee Hills. We farm sustainably, pick by hand, and make wine in small batches so every bottle carries the character of the vintage. No shortcuts, no gimmicks — just honest Oregon wine meant to be shared around a table.

Our Vineyard

It begins in the soil

Our vines are planted in Jory — the iron-rich volcanic soil that gives Dundee Hills Pinot its signature red-fruit lift and silky texture. Older blocks were planted in 1988; younger blocks joined in the early 2000s.

We dry-farm where we can, cover-crop between the rows, and let the chickens and sheep do much of the weeding. Healthy ground makes honest wine.
